Known as the "Canoe Capital of Virginia," Front Royal is home to the Shenandoah River and the Shenandoah National Park, where residents and visitors enjoy canoeing as well as many other recreational activities.
     Front Royal's Historic Downtown area features a gazebo, as well as some of the area's finest restaurants and art.

     Somerset Borough, the County Seat of Somerset County Pennsylvania, is a small town with a lot to offer. Wine tours, antique shopping, numerous historic landmarks, and the Flight 93 Memorial are all nearby. Residents can also enjoy nature at Laurel Hill State Park and the Quemahoning Family Recreation Park. There are also several covered bridges in the area.
     Somerset was designated a "main Street" Community in 1994. An annual fire and Ice Festival is held there in January.

     Known as "Homeseeker's Paradise," Brookhaven is located in Lincoln County, in Mississippi's Piney Woods area. It is a quaint town with a rich history. Cotton farming was originally one of the area's major industries, with many beautiful plantations still there today. The timber industry later became important to residents.
     Downtown Brookhaven consists of tree-lined streets filled with historic shops and restaurants. At the center of town is the Old Train Depot.
     Residents also enjoy many recreational opportunities, including sports offered through the city's parks, visits to nearby Lake Lincoln State Park and Percy Quin State Park, and golfing on the area's golf courses.
     Theatre is also very popular in Brookhaven, with the historic Brookhaven Little Theatre producing 3 shows a year. The Brookhaven Arts Council also provides art exhibits, and musical and theatrical performances for visitors and residents to enjoy.

   Scottsboro, located in Northeast Alabama in Jackson County, is a town with a rich history and numerous recreational opportunities. Residents can explore nature by walking or hiking on the area's many trails or fishing on the Lake Guntersville Reservoir. Scottsboro also has some of the areas most beautiful golf courses.
    First Monday trade day has been held in Scottsboro since the turn of the 20th century.
     The Scottsboro Boys Museum and Cultural Center recently opened. This museum is dedicated to events that took place in Scottsboro that many say started the Civil Rights Movement.

    Macclenny, located in Northeast Florida, is home to many proud local businesses. The Baker County Farmers Market is held in Memorial Park on Saturdays from April to November. The Baker County Courthouse is also located in Macclenny.
     Residents of Macclenny are proud supporters of the Baker County High School Wildcats.

     Gonzales is located in Ascension Parish, a rapidly growing area of Louisiana between New Orleans & Baton Rouge. Many beautiful Antebellum plantation homes can be found near Gonzales, as well as a variety of great restaurants offering Cajun and Creole food and much more.
     Known as the "Jambalaya Capital of the World," Gonzales has hosted the Jambalaya festival each May for the past 44 years, which features cooking contests, live music & entertainment, rides and much more.

     Located in Covington County Mississippi, Collins history dates back to 1826 when the area's main industry was sawmills.
     There are many recreational activities in the area, including 3 local parks, athletic fields, Grand Paradise Water Park and the Okatoma Golf Club. The Okatoma Creek also runs through Collins, where residents and tourists enjoy tubing and camping. Numerous Choctaw Indian campsites can also be found along the banks of the Okatoma.
     The Okatoma Festival is held in Downtown Collins around the Courthouse each spring. The festival features a 5K walk, 5K run, a canoe race, antique car show, live entertainment, arts, crafts, food and a parade.


mechanicsville, va
     
     Mechanicsville is a small town located just outside of Richmond, Virginia. It is the sight of several significant Civil War battles, including the Battle of Beaver Creek Dam, the Battle of Gaines' Mill and the Battle of Cold Harbor. A stone windmill has stood in what is known as "Old Mechanicsville" since the 1970's. This landmark underwent major renovations in 2007-2008 to restore it to working condition.
     Mechanicsville was listed among CNN Money's "100 Best Places to Live" in 2010. The town also hosts the Hanover Tomato Festival each summer.

     Summerville, GA is a small town with a lot to offer. Located in beautiful Chattooga County, Summerville is surrounded by scenic valleys and numerous recreational acticvities. Residents and tourists can enjoy sight-seeing, hiking, fishing, boating and hunting, as well as camping at James H. "Sloppy" Floyd State Park in the Chattahoochee National Forest.
     The City of Summerville also has a rich heritage and a great quality of life. It is the county seat and features a historic courthouse that was built in 1909. Summerville hosts a variety of festivals and events throughout the year, including the "Down Home Farm Days," "Steam into Summerville" Railroad Days, a "Celebrate Independence" Festival every July 4th, the Sum-Nelly Arts and Crafts Festival, the Howard Finster Arts Festival and an annual Christmas in the Park Celebration. Summerville is also a Registered "Pickin' in the Park" bluegrass community.
     Residents of Summerville are also very supportive of the Chattooga High School Indians.



Orangeburg, SC
     
Known as "The Garden City," Orangeburg, is home to the beautiful Edisto Memorial Gardens. The Gardens draw over 600,000 visitors each year from throughout the US and other countries. Originally developed around a Revolutionary War landmark in the 1920's, the Gardens consist of 150 acres filled with more than 82 rose beds and 4800 other types of plants. The Edisto Memorial Gardens also feature a butterlfy garden, a serenity garden, a sensory garden, a boardwalk through Horne Wetlands Park, and a memorial fountain.
     Each May the Orangeburg Festival of the Roses is held to celebrate the blooming of the Roses. The Children's Garden Christmas is also held at the Gardens each year, featuring a half-mile trail of animated and still light displays and lit cherry trees.
     In addition to its gardens, Orangeburg is home to the well known Hillcrest Golf Club, historic Orangeburg Cemetery, Orangeburg Municipal Airport, and numerous parks and athletic facilities. Originally founded by an Indian trader in 1704, and incorporated in 1883, Orangeburg is now home to more than 13,500 residents. It is the county seat of Orangeburg County.

      Located in the scenic foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, Piedmont is a growing community that features great real estate as well as many economic and recreational opportunites. The Chief Ladiga Trail, a former railroad that was converted into a biking and walking trail, runs through town, providing residents and visitors access to beautiful streams, forests, and farmlands. The trail, along with the Silver Comet Trail, stretches nearly 100 miles from Anniston, Alabama to Atlanta, Georgia, making it the longest paved trail in the United States.
     The community that is now Piedmont was first established in the early 1840's, at the intersection of two post roads. It was originally named "Hollow Stump" because a hollow stump was used by the mailman for mail delivery. In 1888 it was renamed "Piedmont."

     Plymouth is a lively community located in Northwest Wayne County. Its quaint downtown is filled with shops, restaurants, galleries and historical landmarks. Plymouth also features 12 beautiful parks, including Kellogg Park, a spacious park with a fountain located in the center of town. Many seasonal events take place at Kellogg Park throughout the year, including Summer Concerts, Scarecrows in Kellogg Park, and the Walk of Trees. Plymouth is also home to the International Ice Spectacular, the Green Street Fair, a Chili Cook Off, and many more exciting events.
      Plymouth is a great family community, with its quiet neighborhoods, award-winning schools, and many cultural and recreational activities. The Plymouth Historical Museum and Historic Penn Theatre, a 1941 movie theatre that is still running, can be found here, as well as numerous sports and recreation programs for all ages, and the Plymouth Whalers, the town's professional minor league hockey team.

     Phenix City is a growing community located in western Alabama, along the Georgia border. The area that is called Phenix City today was owas established by traders. Originally incorporated as the town of Brownsville in 1883, the town was renamed Phenix City in 1889, and later mnce the territory of the Coweta branch of the Creek Indian Nation, and erged with the town of Girard.
     Phenix city is known as a "Hub City" because it lies just west of Columbus, GA, a much larger city. The beautiful Phenix City Riverwalk runs along the Chattahoochie River, and the Columbus Riverwalk can be seen across the river.
     In addition to its Riverwalk, Phenix City features an ampitheatre and Centennial Park. The community also hosts several festivals each year, including a May Day celebration commemorating the day the African Americans of Russell County heard the news of the Emancipation Proclamation, the Twin Cities Horse Show, the Festival of Lights on the Riverwalk, the Bi-City Christmas Parade, and the Festival of Art at the Log Cabin.

      Mount Olive, located just south of Goldsboro in Wayne County, Eastern North Carolina, was incorporated in 1870. Today, it is a small town with access to many major highways and to North Carolina's Eastern Region's Global Trans Park. Beaches, mountains, state parks, historic sites and the Civil War corridor are all an easy drive away. The Cliffs at Neuse State Park are also nearby. Mount Olive is also home to Mount Olive College, a private liberal arts college founded in 1951.
      Mount Olive is perhaps best known for the Mount Olive Pickle Company. Since 1926, the Mount Olive Pickle Company has played an important role in the community. It is the largest private pickle company in the United States and produces the best selling pickles in the Southeast. Each year on the last full weekend in April, residents of Mount Olive celebrate their heritage at the North Carolina Pickle Festival.

       Eunice, Louisiana, known as "Louisiana's Prairie Cajun Capital" and "the Heart of Acadiana," is a located right in the middle of Louisiana's Cajun Country.
