Anderson, South Carolina

Anderson, South Carolina is known as "The Electric City." It was the first city in the South to have an unlimited supply of electric power, and also home to the world's first electric cotton gin in 1897.
Today Anderson is a fast growing city in one of the fastest growing areas of the country. This growth is due in part to Anderson's prime location along I-85, between Charlotte and Atlanta. The town's thriving economy, affordable land, good transportation system, rich history, and many recreational opportunities also make it an appealing place to live.
Anderson's Historic Downtown features many monuments and statues, as well as a beautiful fountain, trolley tracks, the Anderson Arts Center, theatres, the Anderson County Museum, and a Farmer's Market.
